Erewhon, that is nowhere, is the title of Samuel Butler’s fantastic novel of 1872.
Leandro Piccioni, struck by Butler's imaginary world, called his recording studio EREWHON in 1988.
At around the same time, he met the guitar player Giuseppe Natale, with whom he started a fruitful collaboration.
Two worlds met: Leandro Piccioni’s, of classical origin, and Giuseppe Natale’s, of folkloric derivation, giving rise to the Erewhon Project Group in 1992.
Two CDs have so far sprung from their work: Acoustic melodies, and Guitar melodies, both published by BMG Ricordi.
The Erewhon Project, based on New Age principles, also produced various recording experiences.
The tracks The Dawn of a New Age, The Quiet Place, and Free Spirit are published by New Age and New Sounds.
